Antrim Camera Club was formed in September 1984 by a small group of keen photographers, both amateur and professional. We cater for all photographic skill levels from beginners to advanced. The aim of the Club is to promote and encourage photography. We currently have an active membership of some 30 members, made up of a diverse range of backgrounds and photographic interests, both beginner and advanced, male and female. Our weekly meetings at Parkhall Integrated College includes studio workshops, Photoshop workshops, studio lighting shoots, talks from respected photographers and both club and regional competition nights. One thing you can be sure of is, the craic and banter is always flowing. We also organize Club outings and field trips and our members cover a wide range of aspects of photography such as landscapes, wildlife, astrophotography, portraits and fashion shoots, sport, macro and still life. The Club is affiliated to both the Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA) and in turn to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). Antrim Camera Club competes in the 5 rounds of the NIPA Wex Inter-club competition and our members regularly receive awards for ‘Highly Commended’ and ‘Starred’ images.
